A Bundt for Lemon Lovers
🍋
A serious and ongoing devotion to lemons, though this is hardly new and unlikely to change.
And a quietly steadfast affection for the bundt tin, which I have only recently fully appreciated. There is something magical about a cake baked in a bundt, with the golden, slightly crisp edge encasing a tender, moist center. In our house, we always fight over the first and last slice of a traditional loaf pan, but the bundt somehow makes it fair. Every slice is equally divine.
I first discovered the bundt’s charm last year when I crafted a giant “doughnut” cake for Colwyn and a rather dramatic volcano for Brenin’s birthday. A proper little aha moment. I have been devoted ever since.
The latest creation is a lemon bundt that I simply cannot stop swooning over. Bright, fragrant, golden, and tender, with just the right balance of richness and zest. It is exactly the sort of cake I want waiting on the counter, sunny, comforting, and impossible to resist.
I’m keeping the full recipe close to my heart for now, as it is part of what makes my bespoke bundt cakes truly special, but suffice it to say, it’s a lemon lover’s dream.
Life, quietly brightened by lemons and a perfect bundt.
